Preamble: Fran will not be updating the blog due to his looming thesis deadline. He will be missed but seeing as he is sitting next to me pouting and staring blankly at his computer screen, in all likelihood he will seek to post something for the sake of procrastinating.
In other news, Fran and I found we have an elusive feline guest stopping by our front porch. On our way out the door the other night, I was greeted by a series of persistent mews. Upon opening the front door, I was greeted by this little fellow:
With a persistent string of mewls and weepy eyes, we surmised that our unannounced guest was hungry. Postponing our exit, Fran headed back inside to gather food and water for the little guy. Meanwhile, I was entertained with a series of twirls and further chit chat with the kitty (as well as picture taking). As Fran came back out, water and bread in hand, he was adamant about setting the food and water far away from the house. "I will not be feeding this cat!" was his gruff chorus, as he set the food on the edge of his bridge.
Yet, as we drove away, I saw him sneaking glances in the rearview mirror. That's my husband, prickly exterior with a the heart of a marshmallow on the inside- as white as our little friend. I hope he (or she) comes back soon! Seeing as we can't adopt a furry best friend due to our schedules, at the very least I'll make do with a drop-by-for-a-while kitty.
That sounds like a Charles comment, haha we will all turn into that lovable bald man, Fran has a head start on both ends.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA! Matt, I can't wait til Fran reads your comment. I'm sure I'll hear a few expletives.
ReplyDeletemaybe you should grab a cheapie bag of cat food....
ReplyDeletejust. in. case.
"fran, whats this cat food doing in the driveway? it's a sign!"
HAhaha! That does sound like a Pop thing to say. I don't think it was a direct quote.
ReplyDeleteAnd guess what the little parasite hasn't been back cause I didn't feed it at the house. Word! I don't like cats.
