Before I begin, I would like to explain that Fran & I had originally planned to begin "our" blog upon arriving from our honeymoon. As the title will tell you, that obviously did not happen as planned. Let's just say that unpacking, organizing, decorating, life took precedence and thanks to a dear friend- we are back on track.
I'm not quite sure when the idea of a "couple's" blog came from but I do have a distinct memory of us on Aer Lingus (har, har) talking about how our first entry should deal with all things Irish- including our trek across the Cliffs of Moher and the adventures we encountered in local pubs. Well, it's been a few weeks since our Irish honeymoon and I've yet to sort through the 3,000 plus pictures of our journey. Again, Mildred (our home) has demanded our utmost attention so much so that I've yet to finish writing our thank you notes- I know! For shame. Martha Stewart's two month etiquette deadline is closing in and fast.
Fear not, I have the cards impatiently awaiting our sincere gratitude and signature (stamps included) in our paper hutch. My mission this week is to have them stamped and mailed by the weekend.
And for those of you who are wondering, marriage life truly is bliss. Except that my newly minted husband refuses to accept that eighty degrees on your ac unit is an unacceptable climate to sleep in. Had I known about this Yankee mentality beforehand I would have written it into my vows...
Ha! Damn Yankee's!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what the combined creativity of y'all's minds will produce!
High five marriage blog...I can never do this with Jonathan. He would rather us do one about our dog or actually our dog do the blog which would mainly consist of entries saying ..."ooh I got to chew up mom's sock and dad's underwear today it was fun. Then I threw up on the guest bed, yay for me." Yes we refer to each other as mom and dad for our dog we are those people.
ReplyDeleteHorray for a couples blog! You two are going to be the best bloggers ever! I'm eagerly awaiting all future entries!
